From 13 to 15 years old — Prep Course

The programme aims to adapt the student to the international education system: immersion in teaching skills under western teaching programmes and increasing the number of various tests and exams in the English language. For those who are planning to enter A-level programme this course will help master their English and get acquainted with European education.

The students study mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, economics, geography and other disciplines in English, significantly broadening their vocabulary.

Socialization and education as a fun activity

Our goal is to show students that learning doesn’t have to be boring.

To be proficient in English

Prep Course students use English as a tool for education. For children of this age all education and communication within London Gates is exclusively in English. They adapt to the International education system, train for different exams and tests.

Teach them how to learn

This programme is about teaching students to learn – by yourself, with effect and involvement. Students conduct science-researches, plan and carry out projects, participate in discussions.

Classes

Classes are held twice a week.

Subjects

Language

Intensive English language course: expansion of the student’s active vocabulary, grammar skills, language writing and speaking, reading and listening comprehension. Two hours, twice a week.

Science

The programme devised by our experts, who are professors at British universities, consists of a number of different modules: geography, economics, physics, biology, chemistry, sociology and psychology. This course enables the children to become familiar with basic scientific terminology and try their hand at the different sciences. Lessons are conducted by A-Level teachers. One hour, once a week.

Mathematics

Studying mathematics in English, the students are immersed in the finer aspects of specialist terminology, they reinforce the knowledge they have received at a day school and expand it with elements that are included into an English school syllabus but which are missing in local school. One hour, once a week.

Drama

Mastering skills in public speaking, social and emotional intelligence – all of which are helpful in becoming successful at any area.

Humanities

A series of courses  in History, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Phylosophy. Courses are based on british A-level programme.
