Stages of education
Interview and testing
A-level programme entry is a two-stage process:
Testing of subject and language knowledge.
We’re testing knowledge of English language and maths, given that for successful studying on A-level a high level of subject knowledge is necessary.
Interview with parents and a student.
It’s really important for us to evaluate your accomplishments, motivation and plans for the future. A-level programme is a part of pre-university education and requires significant effort and deliberate work.
A-level students study twice a week in the afternoon for two years.
Each student studies English, maths and two core subjects at the student’s choice. One school day consists of three classes (each 1,5 hours): English language and core subjects. Education is based on british programme, with teaching materials by Pearson.
Education includes lectures in a form of interactive presentations, multiple project and group studies, researches and essays. Homework is a mandatory part of education.
Examination is an essential part of education. Exams take place twice a year. Each student takes 1 to 5 exams, 3 exams on average.
During the course of preparation for exams we take tests from past years and conduct special trainings that help students to understand the format of the exam and to be psychologically prepared for it.
Exams’ marking takes place at EDEXCEL centre in Great Britain. At the end of education student gets integral mark for each subject based on all of passed exams.
Further, at the end of education, students take IELTS language certificate exam.
